Christy Ewing, MSN, AGNP-C

Christy Ewing, MSN, AGNP-C, is an adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner dedicated to helping patients optimize their healthspan, vitality, and everyday well-being. Practicing at the intersection of conventional primary care, functional medicine, and longevity science, Christy looks beyond symptom management to address root causes—partnering with patients to achieve meaningful transformations they can both see and feel.

Her clinical approach bridges internal wellness and external vitality. Whether navigating complex, chronic medical issues or partnering with patients on targeted longevity and aesthetic goals—including metabolic health, sustainable weight loss, advanced peptide therapies, and skin vitality—Christy provides individualized, science-backed care tailored to the whole person.

Originally from rural Western Kentucky, Christy spent her early adult years in Florida raising her son. Her passion for root-cause healing began in 1998, sparking decades of continuous study into integrative therapies, cellular health, and restorative medicine. After an established earlier career, she embraced a deliberate pivot to clinical practice once her son was grown, channeling decades of independent study into advanced practice nursing to fulfill her lifelong calling of service.

Christy earned her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and a post-graduate certificate in Adult-Gerontology Primary Care from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, where she embraced the university’s guiding motto to “Be the Difference.” Her clinical training is complemented by a Master of Business Administration from Saint Leo University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration from Santa Fe College. She is an active member of The Institute for Functional Medicine (IFM), the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and the North Carolina Nurses Association (NCNA).

Every day in practice, Christy strives to be the difference in her patients’ healthcare journeys—empowering them to resolve complex conditions, optimize longevity, and achieve a vibrant quality of life they can truly feel.

FAQ

A doctor of integrative medicine is a physician who practices functional and holistic medicine. Doctors of integrative medicine believe in a whole person or systems approach to managing chronic ailments and preventing illnesses.  Their main focus is on addressing the underlying root cause of disease instead of just covering up symptoms.

Additionally, they believe patients ought to be educated about their conditions and have a better comprehension of their treatment plans and the motive governing the treatment plan. This is why longer (half an hour) office visits with our doctors are routine at Robinhood Integrative Health (RIH).

We have a great, well-trained team of healthcare providers that will do their best so you can experience health as it ought to be.

Honestly, not much.  Functional and integrative medicine can pretty much be used interchangeably.

They both strive to treat an individual as a whole and concentrate on developing personalized treatments tailored to treat and cure underlying causes of disease.  They also attempt to restore people to an optimal state of wellness not just an absence of disease.

Our providers have training in both Integrative and Functional Medicine and continue to learn.  Our providers pursue ongoing medical education about various topics including hormones, thyroid dysfunction, anti-aging, chronic infections, Lyme disease, mold toxicity, and IV therapies.  We strive to get better and more comprehensive every year.

We see patients as partners and work closely with you to ensure you’re receiving the treatments you need.

Our team of integrative health coaches can help with dietary and lifestyle changes to address specific concerns.  They work closely with the doctors/NPs to make sure the patients are able to acheive their health goals.
